A path inward, walked together.

A structured transformational and spiritual journey. Four weeks of preparation. Six nights at an eco-reserve in Cocorná. Four weeks of integration. The week in Colombia is the heart of a deep process of reconnecting with nature inside and outside of ourselves. Exploring what is working, and what is ready to change and release.

Held by a multidisciplinary team of medicine people, coaches, body workers, and musicians. IFS coaching, psychology, Andean Chakana ceremony, Cofan medicine, somatic bodywork, Shakti, live music, movement. A team on a mission to walk with you into the depth, and back out together.

An invitation to those who feel the call inward.

There is no single profile of who comes. What we look for is courage, willingness to look at what is real inside and sometimes hard, and readiness to commit to a process of transformation. Our first conversation is how we make sure the timing is right, for you and for the group you would be joining. We carefully curate the group so we can be a coherent team of explorers for this adventure.

01
You feel a pull to look inward, whether or not you can yet name what is calling.
02
You are moving through a transition. Personal, professional, or relational. You are seeking clarity and the next steps you can take.
03
Your life looks full from the outside, and yet inside there is a quiet absence. You sense it but cannot name it. Meaning, depth, a thread you have lost. You want to find your way back to it.
04
You are saturated. The change, the screens, the speed, the noise. You want to go somewhere nature does the holding, and remember what is real underneath all of it.
05
You are drawn to ancestral medicine, whether or not you have sat with it before. Newcomers and experienced practitioners are both welcome.
06
You hold others for a living. The therapist, the doctor, the lawyer, the founder, the parent. The well has gone quiet and it is time someone holds you.
07
You are the strong one in every room, and you rarely allow yourself to be held. For one week, you get to lay that down.
08
You are ready to engage with a full nine-week process. The preparation and the integration as much as the week itself.
A note on conversations. Every applicant has a 30-minute exploratory call with one of us. We use it to listen to what is calling you, what you are bringing, and what the experience asks in return. If now is not the right moment, we say so honestly and offer a place in a future cohort.

Nine weeks. Three chapters. Your story.

Four sessions of preparation before we gather. Six nights in Cocorná. Four sessions of integration. Each chapter is part of the work.

Chapter 01 · Preparation Four sessions · Remote · Zoom

Four weeks to arrive, before you arrive.

A 30-minute exploratory conversation with one of us, to understand what is calling you and what the experience asks in return. Four IFS coaching sessions with Dario and Anna, in the Internal Family Systems framework. Together we meet you where you are. We name what you are seeking. We get to know the parts of you that protect, the parts that fear what you are about to do, and the parts that have carried what was too heavy. Dietary and body guidelines for the weeks before. You begin meeting your Self before you meet the sacred plants.

Chapter 02 · Immersion Dec 7 to 13, 2026 · Cocorná

Six nights held by the land.

Two night ceremonies of Yagé with Taita Nelson, keeper of the Cofan lineage. One Chakana ceremony with Dario, kuraka in the lineage of Sumak Kawsay and psychologist. IFS integration circles during the stay and between ceremonies. Shakti Dance, functional movement, community bodywork. Silence when it is time for silence, song when it is time for song. Fire that holds the circle at night. Hikes through primary forest. The pool, the river, the jacuzzi tucked into the trees. Food eaten slowly, between people who are becoming a circle.

Chapter 03 · Integration Four sessions · Remote · Zoom

What you carry back.

Four group integration sessions after the return home. Continued access to an optional community of past and current participants. The work is what happens on Tuesday morning, in the conversation you were going to avoid. In interactions with your family. At work. Integration is a lifestyle.

Day by day.

A weekly rhythm of ceremony, integration, body, and rest. The program may be adapted based on group dynamics.

Tierra de Agua. Land of water.

A private eco-reserve in the mountains of Cocorná, two hours east of Medellín. Held by a family that has tended this land since 2007.

We fell in love with this magic land full of life the first time we came here, and we knew we would come back. Water moves through everything. Springs feed the property. Rivers run the valley below. Mist hangs in the trees until the sun burns it off. Monkeys eat bananas, coffee grows beside the ayahuasca vine. Cocorná earns its other name. Tierra de agua. Land of water.

The architecture lives in conversation with the forest. Bungalows in guadua, the local bamboo. Open terraces, hammocks, a mirador above the canopy. There are no televisions in the cabins. The screen is the landscape. The soundtrack is the river. Your body remembers this kind of quiet, even when it has forgotten.

01
Water, warm and cold.
Hydrotherapy under the waterfall. A zone of jacuzzis and a natural turco, the Turkish bath, tucked into the forest. For soaking when the body asks to be held. Thermal-shock pools, if you want them. The land is named for this.

02
Forest, up close.
Primary forest on the property. Tropical birds at first light. Tamarin monkeys in the canopy if you are patient. Silent walks for those who want them.
Hibiscus tostadas with avocado and citrus on dark wood
03
Cocina, de origen.
Cuisine of origin and consciousness. Vegetables from the huerta, grown without chemicals. Panela made by hand at the trapiche on the property. Guarapo, fresh sugar cane juice, as the welcome drink. Nourishing our bodies, minds, and souls. Real flavors. Mouthwatering.
Hammock in a bamboo balcony surrounded by green forest
04
Stillness, by design.
The promise here is total connection. Minimal screens. The protagonist sound is the forest. The fogata nocturna, the night fire, is where words start finding their way back.
Body. Mind. Spirit.
This is real spiritual work, and it lives right here. The air on your skin, the food on your tongue, the people across the fire from you.

Where IFS coaching meets ancestral medicine.

Yagé and Chakana reveal what is ready to be seen. IFS shows you how to meet it. Held in alliance with the Cofan, ancient guardians of the Amazon. Three traditions, woven into one coherent path.

IFS · The Inner Map

Internal Family Systems, developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, is one of the most researched contemporary frameworks for parts work and inner clarity. It sees the psyche as a family of parts. Protectors and exiles, each with a role, each worth listening to. IFS gives us the map to the inner journey. Weekly group sessions before. Daily circles during. Weekly sessions after. Group work for what we share. Individual support for what is yours alone. The frame is trauma-informed and practical.

Cofan Lineage · Yagé

Two night ceremonies with Taita Nelson, a medicine keeper of the Cofan people. The Cofan are an Amazonian nation of Colombia and Ecuador. Fewer than two thousand of them. Guardians of more than a million acres of rainforest. Their tradition holds that the world has three levels, and that the invisibles, the guardians of the forest, can be met in the depth of ceremony. Yagé and mambe are served in the protocols of his lineage, in an alliance built over years of work together.

Andean Path · The Chakana

One Chakana ceremony on Friday night, led by Dario. The four elements and the directions of Andean medicine. Water and stone. Fire and breath. Dario is the organizer of the expedition and the lead facilitator of the arc, holding the alliance with our Cofan partners and the rhythm of the journey.

Sound, Song & Dance

Shakti Dance with Paulina. Medicine music with the team. Sound as a vehicle for what words cannot carry.

Nature Immersion

Walks through the reserve, time by the river, hydrotherapy under the waterfall. The land itself is part of the practice.

A small, coherent group. By intention.

Each person brings something unique to the group, and the conversations before we gather shape how we hold the week together.

When confirmed seats are taken, we open a waitlist. No deposit is taken from the waitlist. If a place opens, you are the first to know.

What people ask before applying.

What is the climate like? What should I pack?

Cocorná sits in the highlands of Antioquia, tropical and green year-round. December is the drier season, with daytime around 22 to 26°C and evenings cooler at 16 to 18°C. We will send you a full packing list once you are confirmed. Bring layers, something for the rain, comfortable hiking shoes, swimwear for the river and the pool, and clothes you do not mind getting earthy.

What if I am new to IFS?

Welcome. Many of our participants come to Internal Family Systems for the first time on this expedition. The four preparation sessions ease you into the framework before the week in Cocorná. You do not need to study anything in advance. Curiosity is enough.

Is this right for me if I have never sat with sacred plants?

Yes, it can be. Newcomers and experienced practitioners both arrive here. What matters more than prior experience is your readiness to engage with the work. Begin with the application and the conversation. Together we can review whether the timing is right.

What if I have allergies or dietary needs?

Tell us in the application. The kitchen at Tierra de Agua adapts menus to allergies, intolerances, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and ceremony-day requirements. Real food, real flavors, served with care for what your body needs.

What if I have a therapist or am on medication?

We ask in the application and during our first conversation, so we can plan together. Some medications are not compatible with ceremony. If now is not the right time, we will say so honestly and offer to hold a place for a future cohort.

In which language is the expedition held?

The expedition is held in English. Several members of our team are native or fluent speakers of Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, and Russian. If English is not easy for you, we can offer one-on-one support in your mother tongue during preparation and integration. Mention this in your application and we will plan accordingly.

What are the rooms like? Can I see the spaces before deciding?

Yes. Photos and a video walkthrough of Ecohotel Tierra de Agua are available on this page and on the property's website. Room options range from single to double to shared, depending on what feels right for you. We will walk you through the choices in our conversation, and the final price depends on the room you choose.

How do I get there? Are flights included?

Fly into Medellín (MDE, José María Córdova International Airport). We meet on Monday December 7 in the morning at a central point in Medellín, and travel together by shared transfer to Cocorná, about two hours east. Return on Sunday December 13 the same way. International flights are not included; we are happy to help with timing and recommendations.

How do you handle safety on the ground?

Ecohotel Tierra de Agua is private and staffed throughout. All in-country logistics from Medellín onward are handled by our team. Health and readiness review precedes confirmation.

When should I apply? What if it's full?

As early as you feel ready. We accept applications until seats are full. Preparation begins four weeks before the immersion, so earlier applications mean a longer, gentler runway into the work. If confirmed seats are taken, we open a waitlist with no deposit. If a place opens, you are the first to hear. If it does not, you are offered priority for our next expedition.

What if I need to cancel after I am confirmed?

We have a cancellation policy, sent with your confirmation. The deposit covers operational costs we commit to early. We refund what we can according to how close we are to the immersion. Ask us for the policy at any time.

Join the expedition crew.

We are gathering a small crew for a journey into the inner and outer wild. Curious, courageous, ready to walk this together. New explorers and seasoned ones are both welcome. The week welcomes presence and openness. You engage with the land at your own pace, and the practice meets you where you are. Tell us what is calling you, or what you would like to know. We read every message personally. After we have spoken, we will share the full application with you.
